In our latest Product Feature Spotlight, Logicbroker Solutions Engineer, Robert Schlussler, talks about Logicbroker’s Message Center and Order-level Messaging.

Effective communication between multi-commerce trading partners is critical to the overall customer experience. Maintaining open lines of communication ensures a seamless brand experience for customers ordering dropshipped products. Open communication is an effective way to mitigate issues related to product availability, shipping times, or any other exceptions that may arise.

Message Center

When communication is lacking, it can lead to a cascade of problems. For instance, if a retailer is unaware of low stock levels or delays from a supplier, customers may end up placing orders for items that are unavailable or face extended wait times for their shipments. Such scenarios not only frustrate customers but can also harm the retailer’s reputation, leading to lost sales and diminished trust.

Logicbroker’s message center is designed to bridge the communication gap between multi-commerce trading partners. By providing a centralized platform for messaging, it allows for real-time updates and discussions about orders, inventory status, and any changes that may impact the customer experience. This tool enables both parties to collaborate effectively, making it easier to address issues promptly and share important information. Let’s take a quick look at some of the features of the Logicbroker Message Center.

The message center provides a single location to view all communications including product messages, order messages, and direct messages to trading partners. The filter allows users to quickly find specific messages by various criteria including partner, date, status, and action required flag. This allows users to more effectively identify and address critical communications.

Communications can be initiated from three areas within the Logicbroker portal: from a product page in the Product Onboarding Center, from an order, or directly within the Messaging Center. Messages created on products or orders are linked to those records. Let’s create a direct communication to a trading partner from the Messaging Center.

Selecting New Message provides a modal window for creating a message. I add a subject, and select a status related to the criticality of the message – in this case, I’ll select New, add the recipients, and add the body. The window provides advanced formatting tools and even provides a toggle to require the recipient acknowledge receipt. Once I’m satisfied with the message I hit send and can then track the message within the message center.

Additionally, the message center can support streamlined workflows by allowing for automated notifications when a new message is received. This proactive approach helps in minimizing disruptions and enhances the reliability of service.

Overall, Logicbroker’s message center empowers retailers and suppliers to work together more efficiently, fostering a cooperative environment that ultimately leads to improved service delivery. By enhancing communication, retailers can not only meet but exceed customer expectations, building loyalty and encouraging repeat business.
